You do not need to install or manually update PDF24. You need to create a shortcut in your OneDrive, then in turn create a shortcut on your desktop.
Note: This is a one-time set up. PDF24 will update automatically after you use this method.
- Make sure your OneDrive is synced to your laptop. You can check this by seeing if you have a blue cloud in the bottom right hand corner of your desktop:
If there is no cloud, or the cloud is not blue, follow the instructions on this page before returning to the next step:
https://cambridgecab-itsupport.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/80000741926 - Go to the following link:
https://cambridgecab.sharepoint.com/sites/software/Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?viewpath=%2Fsites%2Fsoftware%2FDocuments%2FForms%2FAllItems%2Easpx&viewid=db5d57ab%2D5ec6%2D4e6a%2D8fcb%2D4daf32ee6bec - Do not click into the folder. You need to select the 'PDF24' folder by clicking to the left of the folder.
- Select 'Add Shortcut to OneDrive'.
- You should see the pop up to say the shortcut has been added to your OneDrive.
- Go to your Desktop (Home screen). Right click and select 'New' then 'Add shortcut'.
- Copy and paste the following into the the text box:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\OneDrive - Cambridge & District Citizens Advice\Software - PDF24\pdf24-Toolbox.exe
Then press next. - Click 'Finish' (Optional: You can change the name to PDF24 or PDF Editor etc.)
- The new shortcut should have the PDF24 Sheep logo:
Done! Just double click the shortcut and make sure PDF24 opens. If not, please raise a ticket.
