How do I download/update Quick Benefits Calculator (QBC)?

You no longer need to install or manually update QBC. You need to create a shortcut in your OneDrive, then in turn create a shortcut on your desktop.

Note: This is a one-time set up. QBC will update automatically after you use this method.

1.  Make sure your OneDrive is synced to your laptop. You can check this by seeing if you have a blue cloud in the bottom right hand corner of your desktop:

2. Go to the following link:

3. Do not click into the folder. You need to select the 'Lisson Grove' folder by clicking to the left of the folder.
   
   
   
4. Select 'Add Shortcut to OneDrive'.
   
   
   
5. You should see the pop up to say the shortcut has been added to your OneDrive.
   
6. Go to your Desktop (Home screen). Right click and select 'New' then 'Add shortcut'.
   
   
   
7. Copy and paste the following into the the text box:
   C:\Users\%USERNAME%\OneDrive - Cambridge & District Citizens Advice\Lisson Grove\QBC\qb4.exe
   
   Then press next.
   
   
   
8. Click 'Finish' (Optional: You can change the name to QBC or Quick Ben etc.)
   
   
   
9. The new shortcut should have the QBC logo:
   
   Done!  Just double click the shortcut and make sure QBC opens. If not, please raise a ticket.

1. If the shortcut does not have the logo, you need to right click on the shortcut and select properties:
   
   
2. Paste the following text to the right of the existing text in the 'Target' box:
   \OneDrive - Cambridge & District Citizens Advice\Lisson Grove\QBC\qb4.exe
   
   Then click 'Apply' and 'Ok'
   
   
   
3. Done! Just double click the shortcut and make sure QBC opens. If not, please raise a ticket.
