Note: This should be a one time process. It may seem complicated but please follow each step as described. Please raise a ticket if you need further help.
- Type in “printers” into your search bar at the bottom of your laptop screen. Select “Add a printer or scanner”
- Select “Add a printer or Scanner”
- Select “The printer I want isn’t listed”
- Select Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname and click on “next”
- In the “Hostname or IP address” field type in :

or
10.16.131.165 – for the front office printer
Select “Next” - Click on "Next"
- Type the name of the printer into “printer name” box and click “Next”
It will then install the printer
- Mark the check box “Do not share this printer” and click “Next”
- Then select “Finish”
You now need to change the default settings on the printer to ensure it only prints in Black/White.
- Find the printer you have just installed in printers and scanners
- Select”Manage” button
- Select “Printer Properties”
- Click on the “Advanced” tab at the top
- Then click on “Printing Defaults” tab at bottom
- Change “Colour mode” to Black/White and click on “Apply” and “ok”
- Go back to “General” tab at top and select “Print Test Page”
- The printer should print a test page, if all ok then you have successfully installed the printer.
You will need to follow the same process from the top of this page for the other printer too.
