What is OneDrive?

Modified on Fri, 9 Jul, 2021 at 10:30 AM

OneDrive is an internet-based file storage system. You can think of OneDrive as a large USB stick or Hard Drive that you don’t have to carry everywhere!

OneDrive looks and feels just like file explorer. Documents are stored in files that you can name and move around. The only real difference between OneDrive and a fixed location server (The old G and V drives, for those of you that used them) is that the data is stored on the internet and can be accessed anywhere. Whereas fixed location servers must be accessed on site or via remote desktop.
