How do I access Teams?

Modified on Fri, 9 Jul, 2021 at 9:16 AM

There are two ways of accessing Teams on your PC/Laptop though you can use Teams on your mobile device too should you wish. On your computer, you can either use your web browser or the Teams desktop app. The preferred way of accessing Teams is via the desktop app as this gives you all the features Teams has to offer while the web-based Teams is slightly more limited in its capabilities.

Desktop App

  1. Select ‘Download for Desktop’

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions. (Note: the download process will be slightly different depending on your operating system. It should be simple to follow but if you have any problems then please talk to the IT lead)
  3. After you have downloaded Teams, use your ‘@cambridgecab.org.uk’ email address to log in. Your password will be the same password for all the Microsoft Products such as Outlook and OneDrive.

Web Browser

  1. On your Web Browser, go to https://office.com
  2. Use your @cambridgecab.org.uk email address to log in. Your password will be the same password for all the Microsoft Products such as Outlook and OneDrive.
  3. Select the Teams logo on the left-hand side.

  4. If you cannot see the Teams logo, select the App Launcher in the top left hand-side.

  5. If you still cannot see the Teams button, select ‘All Apps’.

  6. Search ‘Teams’ or scroll down until you find the Teams logo.

Mobile (Optional)

  1. On your mobile, go to your App Store.

  2. Search ‘Teams’ and download the app with the Teams logo. It should be published by ‘Microsoft Corporation’.

  3. When the app has downloaded, use your @cambridgecab.org.uk email address to log in. Your password will be the same password for all the Microsoft Products such as Outlook and OneDrive.
